Mac Document Management

As part of my job managing IT for an architectural practice, I am frustrated with the tools available for document management. I have started prototyping a PHP-based system that allows people to work with documents in Finder over AFP whilst managing workflow, archiving and version control etc using PHP and Fluid.app

In my first post, I explain how I’ve started using PHP to produce a Socket Server that allows file system moves to be run as root. I think this is the simplest implementation I’ve come across online, and should be a doddle for anyone who uses PHP.
